Just a basic, down to Earth, laid back type of guy here, who loves the outdoors, the indoors, jazz on the turntable, a fire in the woodstove, the northern lights blazing across the sky, and the company of good friends.

I am sitting by the wood stove listening to all my Brubeck. I am glad someone else out there is also thinking about him. When I was a teenager and heard “Blue Rondo ala Turk”, I was transformed. It was also Wes Montgomery, Louis, Fats Waller, and so many others but Brubeck and Desmond’s time signature were a tempo I could understand. Cheers

I listened to Brubeck most of the day at the jobsite after I heard the news that he had passed. He truly will be missed.
