Double Sunset

As I wrote yesterday, Fairbanks just had its final post-midnight sunset. The sun went down at 12:01 am on July 15, but the sun also set at 11:57 pm on July 15th.

Double sunset, double the fun. Life in the north.

    I have a friend who lives in the “North Country” of upstate New York. So far, he is the only one I have described Alaska as “The Far North Country”, but I’m thrilled the phrase is trending!
