An old shot, but in keeping with wildlife week here between The Circles, I dug it out of the archives. This was on my first drive up Alaska’s famed Haul Road, also known as the Dalton Highway.
Just a basic, down to Earth, laid back type of guy here, who loves the outdoors, the indoors, jazz on the turntable, a fire in the woodstove, the northern lights blazing across the sky, and the company of good friends.

Could that shot have been taken just North of the Marion creek campground? When I first got to Alaska and we were filming the Dalton in ’95’ it was the second brown bear I saw there. The first on the McCarthy road while changing a flat!

It’s been so long Pete, but I believe the picture was taken further south than Marion Creek.
