Just a basic, down to Earth, laid back type of guy here, who loves the outdoors, the indoors, jazz on the turntable, a fire in the woodstove, the northern lights blazing across the sky, and the company of good friends.

The shot was taken on my first visit to Kennecott several years ago, before they started to shore up the old mine. The film was expired, and I only had one roll of color 120, so I shot it anyway. Nice catch.

Haha! It’s funny, because so many of the places out west can look like they were photographed decades ago – due to old vehicles, colors, and such.

I like the look. When I travel to some of these historic sites, I often carry an older film camera.
