This 1953 Ford F3, which was FoMoCo’s heavy duty 3/4 ton truck, is now sitting under a foot of fresh snow, since I really doubt anyone coughed up the three grand the guy was asking for it. It’s in rough shape, missing quite a bit of glass, but it does have its Flathead V8 under the hood. No word on whether it turns or not.

First days of autumn?
Fairbanks received its heaviest September snowfall in 23 years on Friday. 5-9″ fell in the area, and I’m just happy as a clam that I live right smack dab in the middle of that 9″ swath. Peachy.
Temps in the 40’s by Sunday, more rain and possible temps of 50 degrees next week should see the snow all melt. It’ll be like a second breakup. The rubber knee boots are already standing next to the front door.

A Flashback Friday Edition:
With the college football season underway, and the hockey season a month off, here’s a photo of John Mariucci. Mariucci was an All-American and AAU National Champion on the ice in 1940, and he was also a National Champion on the gridiron in the same year for the Golden Gophers.

First Snowfall
It would seem that Sunday the 13th is also a bit unlucky, as it brought our first snowfall of the season.
